Wizard of Oz 70th Anniversary

NCM Fathom and Warner Brothers are partnering to present a special encore event celebrating the 70th Anniversary of “The Wizard of Oz” for the first time in high definition. The event will begin with a special introduction by Robert Osborne, a classic film historian and host of Turner Classic Movies, who will share facts and stories about the feature and provide a very special welcome message to theatre audiences nationwide. Following will be a “theatre-only,” specially cut version from the “Making of the Wizard of Oz” which includes behind the scenes footage and rare archival interviews with the cast, then the new HD version of “The Wizard of Oz”. The in-theatre event will be the first time “The Wizard of Oz” will be shown in High Definition and is part of a year-long celebration that Warner Brothers is hosting with special Events that span across the country.
