Kerasotes Theatres is pleased to present open-captioned films for deaf and
hard of hearing audiences. Open-captioned films resemble foreign films with
subtitles, but also include icons and written descriptions of sounds that
convey the tone of the story.
There is full sound on the film, and the text is burned onto each individual
print. It is much more aesthetically pleasing than closed-captioning and
doesn't require any maintenance or special equipment.
We offer these films in markets that have a demonstrated a demand for this
type of presentation. Open captioned films are currently playing in:
- Bolingbrook, IL
- Coon Rapids, MN
- Denver, CO
- Indianapolis, IN
- Inver Grove Heights, MN
- Muncie, IN
- New Lenox, IL
- Rockford, IL
